To prepare yourself for the October clock change here are a few tips:
- Begin rejigging your sleep routine a few days before the clocks change so hit the sack 15 minutes later on the first night, then 30 minutes the second night
- Get at least 15 minutes exposure to sunlight without sunglasses first thing in the morning
- Re-organise your mealtime schedule by eating dinner 15 minutes later, then 30 minutes later
- Avoid turning to caffeine in the mornings to pep yourself up then alcohol at night and drink plenty of water
